Blind Soccer

Blind soccer is an amazing sport for athletes who cannot see. The ball has bells inside so players can hear where it is. Players use their ears and skills to pass, dribble, and score goals.

How the Game Works

Each team has five players, including a goalkeeper who can see. The four outfield players wear blindfolds to make the game fair for everyone. The ball has bells inside so players can hear it rolling.

Players call out "Voy!" which means "I go!" in Spanish, to let others know they are coming. Boards along the sides keep the ball in play. A guide behind the goal helps players aim their shots.

Skills and Teamwork

Blind soccer players have incredible hearing and body control. They can dribble, pass, and shoot using sound and touch. They memorize the size of the field and know where teammates are by listening.

The sport has been part of the Paralympic Games since 2004. Teams from Brazil, Argentina, and China are some of the best in the world. It shows that athletes can do amazing things no matter what challenges they face.
