Cycling means riding a bicycle. People cycle to get around town, to stay healthy, or just to have fun. Some people race their bikes for sport. Cycling can be done on roads, dirt trails, or even inside special tracks.
Types of Cycling
There are many kinds of cycling. Road cycling happens on smooth streets with thin-tired bikes. Mountain biking is done on bumpy trails with strong bikes. Track cycling is done on oval tracks inside buildings. Each kind uses a different kind of bike.

The Tour de France is the most famous bike race in the world. It lasts for three weeks and goes through many towns in France. Cycling is also a big part of the Olympic Games. Riders can win gold medals for many different events.
