Gymnastics is a fun sport. Gymnasts use their arms, legs, and core to move in cool ways. They jump, flip, spin, and balance. Some do tricks on the floor. Others use special gear like bars and beams. It takes a lot of practice to get good. Gymnasts are strong, quick, and brave.
Types of Events
There are many kinds of gymnastics. In artistic gymnastics, athletes use bars, rings, and a balance beam. They also tumble on a big floor mat. Rhythmic gymnastics uses ribbons, balls, and hoops. Trampoline gymnastics is all about high bounces and flips in the air. Each event needs its own skills.
Training and Safety
Gymnasts train for many hours each week. They stretch to stay bendy. They lift and climb to get strong. Coaches help them learn new moves step by step. Soft mats and foam pits keep them safe when they fall. Helmets are not used, but good form is very important.
