Kickball

Kickball is a popular game played on playgrounds and in parks. It is a lot like baseball, but instead of a bat, you use your foot to kick a big rubber ball. Almost anyone can play.

How to Play

One team kicks while the other team plays in the field. A pitcher rolls a big rubber ball toward home plate. The kicker runs up and kicks it as far as they can. Then they run the bases, just like in baseball.

Fielders try to catch the ball or throw it at the runner. If the ball hits the runner, they are out. Three outs and the teams switch sides.

Why Kids Love It

Kickball is easy to learn. You do not need special gear. All you need is a rubber ball and some bases. Kids of all ages and skill levels can have fun playing.

Many schools play kickball during gym class or recess. Some towns even have kickball leagues for grown-ups. It is a great way to get exercise and have fun with friends.
