Ninja Warrior Courses

Ninja warrior courses are exciting obstacle challenges. Athletes run, climb, swing, and balance through a series of tough obstacles. The courses test speed, strength, and agility. Falling into the water below means you are out.

What the Courses Are Like

A ninja warrior course has many obstacles in a row. Athletes might swing across bars, run up a warped wall, balance on spinning logs, or leap between platforms. Each obstacle gets harder as you go.

The most famous obstacles include the Warped Wall, which is a tall curved wall you have to sprint up, and the Salmon Ladder, where you jump a bar up a series of rungs. If you fall off any obstacle, you splash into the water and your run is over.

From TV to Real Life

Ninja warrior started as a Japanese TV show called Sasuke in 1997. The show became popular all over the world. American Ninja Warrior is one of the most-watched versions.

Today, there are ninja warrior gyms where kids and adults can train. Many gyms have courses designed just for kids. It is a great way to build strength and have an adventure. Some kids who train at these gyms go on to compete on TV.
