Squash

Squash is a fast indoor sport played on a small court with four walls. Two players take turns hitting a small rubber ball against the front wall. They must hit the ball before it bounces twice. Squash uses long, light rackets and a ball that does not bounce much. It is a great sport for staying fit.

How to Play

In squash, players share the same small court. They take turns hitting the ball off the front wall. The ball can bounce off the side walls too. If a player cannot hit the ball back, the other player wins the point. Games are usually played to 11 points.

Squash Gear

The squash ball is small and made of rubber. It has to be warmed up before play because it bounces better when it is warm. Rackets are long and thin with tight strings. Players wear special shoes that do not slip. Goggles help protect the eyes from fast balls.

Fun Facts
