Yoga as Exercise
Yoga as Exercise
Yoga is a popular way to exercise and relax. You hold different poses that stretch and strengthen your body. Deep breathing helps calm your mind. People of all ages, including kids, love to do yoga.
Yoga Poses
Yoga poses have fun names like Downward Dog, Tree Pose, and Cobra. In Downward Dog, you make an upside-down V shape with your body. In Tree Pose, you stand on one leg with your arms up like branches.
Each pose works different parts of your body. Some poses build strength. Others help you stretch. Balancing poses improve your coordination. You hold each pose for a few breaths before moving to the next one.
