Blue's Clues
Blue's Clues
Blue's Clues first aired in 1996 on Nickelodeon. The show features a blue-spotted puppy named Blue and her human friend. Blue leaves paw print clues around the house to help solve a puzzle each episode. The host talks directly to the viewer and asks for help finding the clues.
How the Show Works
In each episode, Blue wants to tell us something. She leaves three paw print clues on different objects. The host draws each clue in a handy dandy notebook. At the end, the viewer helps figure out what Blue is trying to say.
Hosts Over the Years
Steve Burns was the original host and became famous for his green striped shirt. Joe took over when Steve left the show. In 2019 a new version called Blues Clues and You started with host Josh. Each host brings their own personality but keeps the same fun format.
Fun Facts
- Steve Burns shaved his head when he left the show because he was going bald.
- Each episode was shown five times in a week so kids could learn through repetition.
- Blue is a girl puppy, which surprises many people.
