Dinosaur Train
Dinosaur Train is an animated TV show that first aired on PBS Kids in 2009. It follows Buddy, a young Tyrannosaurus rex who was adopted by a Pteranodon family. Buddy and his family ride the Dinosaur Train to different time periods to meet all kinds of dinosaurs. The show teaches kids about paleontology and natural science.
Buddy's Family
Buddy was adopted as an egg by Mrs. Pteranodon. He has siblings named Tiny, Shiny, and Don. Even though Buddy is a different species, his family loves him just the same. Together they explore the prehistoric world on the magical Dinosaur Train.
Learning About Dinosaurs
Each episode features real dinosaur species and teaches kids scientific facts. Dr. Scott the paleontologist appears at the end of each episode to share more information. The show covers topics like habitats, diets, and how dinosaurs lived millions of years ago.
