Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood aired on PBS from 1968 to 2001. It was created and hosted by Fred Rogers, a kind and gentle man who spoke directly to children. Each episode began with Fred changing into his cardigan sweater and sneakers. The show taught kids about emotions, community, and self-worth.

The Neighborhood of Make-Believe

Part of each episode took place in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. This was a puppet kingdom ruled by King Friday XIII. Characters included Daniel Tiger, Lady Elaine Fairchilde, and Henrietta Pussycat. These puppet segments helped kids explore feelings and difficult topics.
