Rugrats

Rugrats is an animated TV show that first aired on Nickelodeon in 1991. It shows the world from the perspective of a group of babies and toddlers. Led by brave Tommy Pickles, the babies go on big adventures that are really just everyday activities seen through their imagination. The show ran for nine seasons and became one of Nickelodeon's most beloved series.

The Babies

Tommy Pickles is the brave leader who always carries a screwdriver. His best friend Chuckie is scared of almost everything. Twins Phil and Lil love playing in mud and eating bugs. Angelica is Tommy's older cousin who is bossy and always causing trouble.

A Baby's Eye View

The genius of Rugrats is that it shows the world from a baby's perspective. A trip to the backyard becomes a jungle expedition. A visit to the store is a dangerous quest. The babies mispronounce words in funny ways, like saying Reptar instead of their favorite dinosaur show character.

Fun Facts

  • Tommy Pickles was named after the creator's son.
