WordWorld
WordWorld
WordWorld is a cartoon that helps kids learn how to read. In this show, every animal and object is made from the letters of its name. For example, the dog is shaped out of the letters D, O, and G. The show first aired on PBS Kids in 2007 and won many awards.
How Words Come to Life
In WordWorld, characters often need to 'build a word' to solve a problem. They gather the right letters and put them together. Once the letters join, they turn into the real thing. A boat built from letters can sail on water. This helps kids see how letters make words and words make real things.
The Characters
The main characters are a group of animal friends in WordWorld. Dog, Sheep, Pig, Frog, Bear, Ant, and Duck all play together. Each one is shaped like its own name. They go on little adventures and meet new words along the way. Kids learn new words in every show.
